Richardo and Anna, together with Prof. Mandy Keck from our university, participated in the 19th Visual Computing Winter Workshop Austria, held from January 11 to 13, 2026 in Kaprun. The workshop provided a great opportunity for presenting our work and engaging in discussions with researchers from other Austrian, German and Swiss universities in the field of visual computing.

International Wildlife Congress 2025

Christoph, David and Andreas attended this year’s International Wildlife Congress in Lillehammer, Norway. Together with research partners, they presented the poster “Drone-Based Sampling for Roe Deer Density Estimation”. In their contribution, they explored the potential of drone-based surveys for estimating roe deer densities and compared the results with camera-trap–based approaches commonly used in wildlife monitoring.

ICECET 2025

Andreas and Joel presented their paper “Are AI Agents interacting with Online Ads?” at ICECET 2025 in Paris, where Joel made his first conference appearance. Their study tested how AI agents respond to online ads in simulated travel and hotel booking scenarios. This opportunity also provided ample chances to connect with global researchers, exchange insights, and build professional relationships at an international gathering of academics and industry experts.

FH Hagenberg staff outing 2025

This year the staff outing took us (Andrea, Sam and Anna) to the beautiful Salzkammergut region. We started the day with a visit of the 'Gmundner Keramik' Factory and after a great lunch we finished with a walk around the Langbathseen.

CVPR 2025
June 11, 2025 - June 15, 2025
David and Anna had the joy of participating in this year’s CVPR in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. They presented the results of Anna’s master’s thesis, which focused on pose estimation in sport climbing and introduces a dataset for detecting hold usage, at the CVSports workshop. The conference offered a great opportunity to explore exciting new research and connect with fellow researchers from around the world.

Linz Marathon 2025

David, Sam, Joel and Anna represented the DML in the Linz Marathon 2025 relay competition with Katrin supporting them as a pacemaker. They finished the 42.195km in 3:37:45.
